ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS - SAFETY RULES
Check condition of battery and charging system before departure.
When the electrical system is in use check that individual components are working
satisfactorily.
Disconnect and remove the battery when the craft is in winter storage (cold weather areas)
or long term storage.
NEVER WORK ON THE ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION WHILE THE SYSTEM IS ENERGIZED.
NEVER MODIFY THE CRAFT’S ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE
SHOULD ONLY BE PERFORMED BY A QUALIFIED MARINE ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN.
NEVER ALTER OR MODIFY THE RATED CURRENT AMPERAGE OF OVERCURRENT
PROTECTIVE DEVICES.
NEVER INSTALL OR REPLACE ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES OR DEVICES WITH COMPONENTS
WHICH EXCEED THE RATED CURRENT AMPERAGE OF THE CIRCUIT.
NEVER LEAVE THE CRAFT UNATTENDED WITH THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM ENERGIZED,
EXCEPT AUTOMATIC BILGE PUMP, FIRE PROTECTION AND ALARM CIRCUITS.
