preparation, the contessa needs
considerably less current !
This innovation also saves energy,
and caters especially for the individual
preferences of preparation as well as
the individual espresso tastes !
Only the actually needed water is heated (the
unit is switched off automatically after 30
minutes). This innovation speeds up the prepa-
ration as well, and above all saves energy.
Some like it hot !
According to your individual taste, the
new PID (proportional-integral-derivative)
control is used to set the requested tem-
perature of the brewing water between
86
°
C and 98
°
C degrees in steps of +/- 1 deg.
For those who
are not in such a
hurry ...
In the contessa, the time for preparation,
for pre-moistening the coffee grounds in the
brewing head - the pre-infusion - and for the
infusion can be set variably.
What else
is there ?
Contessa has an especially low-noise doub-
le-pump system. - The display reminds the user
to descale the unit. - The moisture level of the
steam can be set individually. - The steam and
the hot water wand are made of stainless steel
and are double-walled - they can be cleaned
better this way and are insulated to the out-
side.
...and the design ?
Contessa is available in classic design.
It comes with a housing made of high-quality
polished steel; the side parts are made of glass
(standard design is black; various colours and
materials can be chosen individually).
The contessa made by Graef is a completely new
type of espresso machine. The concept and the
design were created in Arnsberg; we cooperate
with a partner company for the production.
