A periodic waxing of your outriggers is suggested if your boat is frequently exposed to
salt water. The wax will provide a protective coating and seal the pores of the metal. A
non-abrasive high quality marine or automotive wax is recommended. Before storage,
clean and wax the outriggers.

During assembly, grease all threads, bolts, and tubes where one section is inserted into
another. Once a year disassemble and regrease all applicable surfaces.
