10. Tighten the Lower Anchor Strap
Press down firmly in the center of the car seat
while tightening the lower anchor strap.
You may need to tighten the
lower anchor strap through
the rear-facing belt path to
get a tight fit.
12. Check the Level Indicator
Vehicle MUST be on level ground. Ball must be
completely in the blue area. Readjust the recline if
needed.
If needed, rolled towels may be placed under the
car seat at the vehicle seat crease, until the base
is completely in the blue area.
See section 6-A to secure your child.
Recheck the level indicator with child in seat.
11. Test For Tightness
Grab the sides of the seat where the lower anchor
strap is and slide the car seat side-to-side and
front-to-back.
If the seat moves less than 1” (2.5 cm), it is tight
enough.
