Hose Installation
Installation of Hose on a Bare Reel
1. Locate the length of the hose in the table and note
the number of revolutions the spool must be turned
to properly pre-set the spring tension.
2. Secure the reel to a solid surface with C-clamps (C)
3. Place a piece of tape on the side of the reel flange
as a visual reference to count the number of
revolutions.

SPRING TENSION HAZARD
The hose reel spring is always under great tension,
which if released in an uncontrolled manner could
cause serious injury.
• Never allow the reel to spin freely. Uncontrolled
spinning could cause serious injury if hit by the
hose.
• Securely fasten the reel in place while making
adjustments.
• The hose reel spring is not a serviceable part. Do
not attempt to replace or service the hose reel
spring.
• Always wear heavy gloves while adjusting the
spring tension to protect your hands from being
cut on the hose reel.
