• Prior to performing any repairs, perform the Ram
and Pump Pressure Relief procedures.
• Check all possible problems before disassembling
the ram, pump, or platen.

panels). Ram air flow needs adjusting. Adjust flow control valves FC2
or FC3 as required. Refer to the
control panel manual for more
information.
Air leaks around cylinder rod. Worn rod seal. Replace.
Ram air pressure is too high. Decrease.
Seal not fully inflated Increase seal air pressure, check
for seal air leak. Use the flow
valve, if present.
Fluid squeezes past platen seal or
wipers.
Worn or damaged wipers. Replace.
Closed air valve or clogged air line. Open, clear.
Not enough ram air pressure. Increase.
Pump running too fast. Reduce pump speed.
Ram valve closed or clogged.
Open, clear.
Pump will not prime properly or
pumps air.
Exposed manual control Ram
