NOTE:
The kit includes an optional spring (11), which
allows spring-activated return to the wide pattern, if
desired.

If desired, install the spring in the fan air valve port.
3.
Apply low strength (purple) Loctite
®
or equivalent
sealant to the threads of the new fan air adjustment
valve.
4.
Screw the new push/pull fan air adjustment valve
into the gun. Torque to 10-12 in-lb (1.1-1.4 N•m).
Operation
To adjust the fan air to the
fullest
pattern, pull the fan
air valve all the way
out
. For further adjustment, turn
the knob
counterclockwise
to increase the pattern size or
clockwise
to decrease the size.
To adjust the fan air to the
narrowest
pattern, push the
fan air valve all the way
in
. For further adjustment,
loosen the setscrew and slide the knob on the shaft to
the desired position. Tighten the setscrew to lock.
