Pin the center of your quilt top 2-3” below
the top center of the batting. The right side
of your quilt should face up.

Roll the
top rail
until the quilt top is
smooth and free of creases. Do not pull too
tight: excess tension will cause fabric to
bunch around stitches when removed from
frame.
Pin down the top of the quilt from the
center out.

Pin the bottom of the quilt top to the
bottom of the final leader cloth. Start from
the center and work outward.

Drape the bottom of the batting between
the
backing
and
top rails
