Safety Instructions and Warnings

Intended Use of Product

Please read the full instructions before operating the product due to the possibility of risk as a result of the high 
luminosity. This product is to be used as a flashlight as directed by the instructions.

Safety Instructions

Keep product in safe location away from children. Do not swallow small parts. This product is not suitable for
children and the instructions should be followed carefully to avoid injury.
•  Use the device in a temperature range between -20 and 60°C and avoid exposure to
 

direct heat and constant sunlight. 

•  Avoid exposure to moisture and/or high humidity. 
•  Avoid exposure to solvents and/or vapors. 
•  Avoid long term exposure to strong vibrations. 
•  Do not use in explosive atmospheres or other areas where there may be volatile gases.

Handling and Use of Product

•  The device may not be used for eye examination (i.e. the pupil test). This could lead to permanent eye damage
 

and medical help should be sought if light is shone in the eyes. 

•  Risk of lesions. Do not look directly into the light. Do not shine the light into eyes of people or animals. 
•  According to DIN EN 62471-1 the LEDs of this product correspond to risk group 2. Risk of blindness.
 

The blue-light hazard by means of optical radiation (400….700nm) is the highest and most restrictive risk

 

generated by this product.

•  Do not cover product when in operation to avoid excessive heat accumulation. 
•  Do not bundle with other flashlights. 
•  Do not short circuit the product in any way.
•  If the product is not being used for an extended period of time please remove the batteries from the device.

Maintenance and Repair

•  Do not attempt to modify or repair product. All repairs must be carried out by authorized personnel.
•  Use correct batteries for the product. Never use alkaline / non-rechargeable batteries and rechargeable
 

batteries together.

•  Store batteries / rechargeable batteries out of the reach of children.
•  Never expose batteries/ rechargeable batteries to temperatures over 60°C (e.g. direct sunlight or to open fire).
•  Do not short-circuit batteries/ rechargeable batteries.
•  Do not use new (alkaline) or fully charged batteries (NiMH / Li-ion) with partially used or discharged batteries.
•  If the product is not being used for an extended period of time please remove the batteries from the device.
•  Dispose of batteries according to national guidelines.
•  Do not use cleaning agents that may damage the product and clean with soft cloth to avoid scratches. The screw
 

threads and contacts should be cleaned periodically to avoid dirt build up which may affect the product’s intended

 

function. Clean O-rings and periodically apply lubricant. 

Batteries

Use 1 x 18650 battery with PCB protection. Failure to use high quality batteries with PCB protection may result in 
damage to the flashlight and battery.

Replacing battery

When changing batteries first switch off flashlight before removing tail cap (A) and installing new alkaline or NiMH 
batteries. Screw the tail cap when batteries have been correctly fitted according to prescribed polarity markings on the 
battery holder (+) and (-). Care should be taken that the batteries are installed in accordance to the battery polarity 
(see above)
