Ensure that there is suf

cient ventilation while the device is in operation.
■
Make sure that the food that you would like to prepare does not come into contact
with the heating elements of the device.
■
Do not place food wrapped in cling
fi
lm or plastic bags into the device.
■
Do not place food containing fat or oil directly onto the rack so that the bottom heating
elements are not contaminated by fat/oil dripping down. Use the baking tray supplied
with the device!
• Generally it is not necessary to preheat the device. However, for the
preparation of food which has to be ready "on the dot", pre-heating is
recommended so that the exact time when the food has been cooked can
be determined.
•
For the preparation of frozen items, please follow the time and temperature
speci
fi
cations of the manufacturer.
Set-Up and Connection
1. Place the device on a dry and heat-resistant
fl
at surface at a safe distance from
fl
ammable objects. Make sure that there is suf
fi
cient clear space around the device
after it has been set up.
2. Insert the mains plug into a properly installed 220 - 240 volt plug socket.
Grilling and Baking
3. Open the glass door.
4. Insert the crumb collection tray if necessary.
5. As required, slide just the rack or the rack and the baking tray into the bottom or top
rail.
6. Place the food onto the rack or baking tray. Then close the glass door.
7. Set the temperature control dial

9. To start the baking process, use the
Timer
to set the desired time (maximum of 60
minutes). Or select the stay-on function to switch the device on for longer than 60
minutes. Please note here that the device does
not
switch itself off. The POWER
control lamp lights up after the time has been set on the timer.
If the operating switch or temperature control dial is set to
0 or OFF
, the oven will
not be switched on.
10. When the set time has elapsed, a buzzer is heard and the device automatically stops
any further supply of heat. Then turn the operating switch and the temperature control
dial to
0 or OFF.
11. If you want to stop the baking process prematurely, turn the timer to the 0 position to
switch off the device. Then also turn the operating switch and the temperature control
dial to
0 or OFF.
12. Open the glass door and carefully remove the baking tray or rack. Always use
potholders or oven gloves to do this. Place the baking tray / rack on a heat-resistant
