Use
1. If you have not already done so, place the base on a dry, level, solid and heat-resistant
surface and insert the mains plug in a properly installed socket.
2. Take the kettle off the base. Remove the lid and
fi
ll the kettle with drinking water. Ensure
that the amount of water is between 0.3 l and 0.88 l (
MAX
). If there is not enough water
in the kettle, the device will deactivate before completing the boiling process; if it is
fi
lled
past the
MAX
mark, water may spray out during the boiling process.
3. Put the lid back on the kettle. The closure catch on the lid must point towards to the
handle.
4. Set the kettle on the base. Make sure that the lid is properly closed and that the switch is
not blocked.
5. Set the On/Off switch to the
ON
position. The device will activate and the On/Off switch
control light will illuminate. You can interrupt the boiling process at any time by setting the
On/Off switch to the
OFF
position.
6. The boiler automatically deactivates once the water has boiled.
7. Take the kettle off of the base and carefully pour the water into a suitable container.
Allow the device to cool down for approximately 60
seconds before you boil water again.
If not in use, the kettle may be stored on the base. However, be sure to pull the mains plug out
of the socket.
Cleaning and storage
ATTENTION!
❐
Prior to each cleaning, pull the plug out of the socket.
❐
Never immerse the base in water or other liquids.
❐
When cleaning, do not use any scouring or abrasive cleaners. They could damage the
surface.
• Only clean the kettle and lid with a damp, soft cloth. If necessary, use a small amount of
mild detergent and rinse off both parts with clean, warm water afterwards. Then dry them
with a soft cloth.
• You should decalcify the kettle at least twice a year:
1. In order to decalcify the kettle,
fi
ll it up to the
MAX
mark with a vinegar-water
solution (1:2 parts) and boil the mixture (see section “Use”).
2. Leave the solution in the kettle overnight.
3. Then empty the kettle,
fi
ll it with clean water again and boil the water.
4. The next time before you use the kettle, rinse it out again with clean water.
