2. There may still be some production residues on the appliance. In order to avoid health
hazards, clean the inside of the housing, grill, and baking tray thoroughly before initial use
(see section "Cleaning and Storage").
3. Place the appliance on a dry, heat-resistant surface at a suf
fi
cient distance to

ammable
objects. Make sure that the appliance is not accessible to children.
4. Plug the mains plug into a properly installed and earthed 220 V - 240 V mains socket with
earthing contacts. Your infrared oven is now ready for operation.
5. You should perform the initial startup without food since smells or smoke may develop
due to coating residue. Heat up the appliance in this manner for about 15 minutes (see
section "Use"). During this time, make sure the room is well ventilated, for example, with
wide-open windows!

Do not lay food containing grease or oil directly onto the grill so that the heating element
is not soiled by dripping grease/oil. Use the baking tray included in delivery!

Ensure that the food you wish to prepare does not touch the heating elements inside the
appliance.

Generally it is not necessary to preheat the appliance. Nevertheless, when pre-
paring food which is to be cooked with a high degree of accuracy, preheating is
advisable in order to be able to determine the cooking time exactly.

For the preparation of deep-frozen items, please follow the time and tempera-
ture speci

cations of the producer.
1. Open the glass door (

) and the grill (

) emerges. Lay your food on the baking tray then
lay the baking tray on the grill. Then close the glass door.
2. Turn the operating switch (

) clockwise to bottom heat, top/bottom heat, or top heat.
3. In order to start the baking process, use the timer (

) to set the desired time (maximum of
60 minutes). The control lamp (
2
) lights up.
4. When the set time has elapsed, a buzzer is heard and the appliance automatically stops any
further supply of heat. The timer button still turns for brief time until coming to a stop and
the control lamp going out.
5. If you want to premature stop the baking procedure, turn the operating switch to
OFF
to
switch off the appliance. Let the timer continue to run until it reaches the
0
position.
6. Open the glass door and carefully remove the baking tray. Always use potholders or oven
gloves. Always place the hot baking tray on a heat-resistant surface.
7. Let the appliance cool down and then clean (see section "Cleaning"). Do not let food resi-
due dry on the appliance.
