Pizza Dough
You can always use shop bought readymade pizza dough or you can even cook
readymade fresh or frozen pizzas in your Pizza Oven & Multi-Grill.
Ingredients:
•
500g of plain flour
•
400ml of warm water
•
1 teaspoon of salt
•
½ teaspoon of dried yeast
•
Tomato purée
•
200g of mature cheddar
Method:
1. Put the flour and salt in the bowl and mix the yeast into the water. Wait 5 minutes
before using the liquid to see if the yeast is working – little bits will start to rise to
the top and you’ll know it’s active.
2. Pour the liquid mixture into the flour and salt and mix until it all comes together in
a ball. If it is still sticky add 1-2 tablespoons of flour.
3. Knead the dough for 7-10 minutes. Try not to add too much flour when kneading.
4. Oil a bowl and place the dough into it. Turn it over so that the dough is lightly
covered with oil. Cover tightly with cling film and place a tea towel over the top.
Place the dough in a warm place until it has double in size, this may take between
2-4 hours depending on the temperature.
5. Once ready to use roll the dough out on to a lightly floured surface. The dough will
be slightly sticky.
6. Top the dough with tomato puree then sprinkle over your cheese and any other
desired toppings.
7. Place into the machine and leave for 10 minutes before checking. Your pizza should
be ready within 15 minutes.
