Motor Housing Cavity
With the pump in an upright position, remove the
pipe cap (43) on the top of the pump. See Table E‐2
and add the recommended grade of lubricant
(Table E‐3) to the motor cavity.
Maintain the oil at
this level
. Apply `Loctite Pipe Sealant With Teflon
No. 592' or equivalent sealant to the threads of the
street tee assembly (44). Reinstall and tighten the
cap.
Never attempt to fill the motor cavity
through the pipe plug opening. A volume
of air must be trapped above the motor to
permit thermal expansion of the motor oil.
