Connect Peripheral
Equipment
There is a wide range of audio and video
equipment that can be connected to
this
TV.
The following connection diagrams show
you
where the different equipment
should be
connected at the back or right side of the TV.
Via The
Scart Socket
The
TV has
2 Scart sockets.
If you want to
connect peripherals (e.g. video, decoder,
etc.) which have
Scart sockets,
to the TV,
use SCART 1 or SCART 2 inputs.
If an external device is connected via
Scart
sockets TV
switches
to AV mode automati-
cally. If the signal is RGB, select RGB in the
source select menu to view picture. If the ex-
ternal device is connected to SCART 1,
choose
Scart 1 RGB
. If the external device is
connected to SCART 2, choose
Scart 2
RGB
.
Via Aerial Input
To connect
a device to this TV such as
video
recorders or decoders,
that do not have
Scart sockets
,
they should be connected
through the RF input of the TV.
If the VCR is connected via antenna input
it is suggested to use the Programme 0.
Connect a decoder with an aerial socket
to the TV
Connect the aerial cable.
Connect a decoder without an aerial
socket to the TV
Connect the decoder to the TV with a
Scart
cable
to
SCART 1
.
TV And Video Recorder
Connect the aerial cables.
Better picture quality can be obtained
by con-
necting with
a
SCART
cable.
Playback NTSC
To use this option you can;
Connect NTSC VCR player to
the scart
socket
at the rear of the TV.
Connect NTSC VCR player to RCA Jacks at
the right side of the TV.
Then, press
SOURCE
button to select
the
required
source.
Copy Facility
Source selection for
VCR
recording.
Select
options
menu.
Select
scart 2 out
source
using
/
but-
tons.
Select
Tuner
to copy the picture from tuner
and Digital to copy the picture from
Digital
broadcast..
Select
Scart 1
to copy the picture from
SCART 1.
Search For And Store The Test
Signal Of The Video Recorder
Unplug the aerial cable from the aerial
socket
ANT
of
the
video recorder.
Switch on
the
TV and put the video recorder
on the test signal. (See the
manual
for
the
video recorder.)
Enter the
tv tuner
menu
in
settings
menu.
Enter the
programming
menu in
tv tuner
menu and select
manual search
.
Search for the test signal of
the
video re-
corder in the same way as
searching
for
and
storing TV channels
. See
programming
m e n u . S t o r e t h e t e s t s i g n a l u n d e r
programme number 0.
Replace the aerial cable in the aerial
socket
ANT
of
the
video recorder once
the
test signal has been stored.
Camera And Camcorder
To Connect To FAV Input
Connect
a
camera or camcorder
to the
FAV
input at the right side of the TV.
Connect
the
equipment to the TV via
VIDEO
(yellow),
AUDIO R
(red) and
AUDIO L
(white)
inputs.
The cable plugs should be con-
nected to the input socket of the same
colour .
