Video Recording Mode
After start up, video recording will be started automatically. You can manually stop or resume
recording by pressing the OK button.
Motion detection recording: when this function is on, the camera can detect if there is any object
moving. The recording will be stopped if no change happens, while it will be restarted if the
object ahead is moving.
Cycle recording: When the SD card is full, the former unprotected files would be covered
automatically by new recorded files.
File protection by vibration: The GSCOUT HD in-car camera is equipped with a gravity sensor.
When there is any vibration detected by the g-sensor, the video will be automatically protected
and stored in EVENT folder.
Manual protection: During recording, user can press the SOS button to manually protect current
video. Press again the SOS button will cancel to protect current video.
Screen timeout: After the camera is working for about 1 minute without pressing any button, the

Photo Mode
When recording is stopped during Video Recording Mode, you can switch to Photo Mode by
pressing the MODE button once. You can take a photo by pressing the OK button. The image
resolution can be set by pressing the MENU button.

File Playback Mode
When recording is stopped during Video Recording Mode, you can switch to File Playback Mode
by pressing the MODE button twice. You can press the UP or DOWN buttons to choose the files:
If the current file is video, it can be played by pressing the OK button. When video is playing, UP
or DOWN buttons are used for fast forward or fast reverse functions respectively. SOS button is
used for stop function.

Shortcut Key
1. You can manually protect (unlock protect) the current video by pressing the SOS button.
2. Turn on/off the voice recording function of current video by pressing the UP button.
3. Turn on/off the screen backlight by pressing the DOWN button.
4. Switch the mode of LED light by pressing ON/OFF button. (Off/Automatic/Forced Open)
