Operating your Ceramic Heater
Always choose a safe location for the heater, keeping in mind the safety
precautions outlined. Ensure all packaging has been removed from the unit
before use. This appliance requires no installation, it should be used solely
as a portable appliance.
SAFETY DEVICE
This appliance has three protection devices:
The first device will automatically turn the appliance
off if the appliance is not in the appropriate operating
position.
The second device, automatically disconnects &
reconnects the appliance at a pre-set temperature.
The
third
device
disconnects
the
appliance
permanently in case of overheating, by means of a
thermal fuse. (It is non resettable)
IMPORTANT! NEVER COVER THIS HEATER!
CARE AND CLEANING
The heater requires regular cleaning to ensure trouble
free operation:
Unplug the heater from the mains supply before
cleaning.
Ensure that the heater has been allowed to cool down
completely before cleaning.
Use a damp cloth (not wet) to wipe the exterior of the
heater to remove dust and dirt.
Use a vacuum cleaner to remove dust and fluff from
around the grilles.
Never use solutions such as benzene, thinners or
polishing agents.
Ensure the heater is dry before plugging back into the
mains supply.
CAUTION
The Heater generates heat during use. Proper
precautions must be taken to prevent the risk of
burns, scalds, fires or other damage to persons.
Do not use this heater with a programmer, timer,
separate remote-control system or any other device
that switches the heater on automatically, since a fire
risk exists if the heater is covered or positioned
incorrectly.
Do not attempt to dismantle the heater. There are no
user serviceable parts. For service or repair, contact
an authorised electrical service technician.
PROOF OF PURCHASE
To receive warranty retain receipt as proof of
purchase. (Refer to back of booklet).
WARNING Keep all objects at least 1 metre from
the front, sides and rear of the appliance.
HEAT CONTROL SWITCH
On/Off Button
– This button will start the heater. Upon
turning the heater on, the unit will automatically
switch into the FAN only mode.
Swing
Button
– This button turns the heater
oscillation function on and off.
Heat Mode Button
– This button cycles through the
different heat settings (fan, low, high and thermostat
controlled modes). To change the heat setting simply
press this button, the unit will beep and the selected
mode will display on the LCD display.
THERMOSTAT
Press the
“Heat Mode” button until the display shows
“AUTO”.
Press the
“+” button to increase the temperature or
Press the
“-” button to decrease the temperature
How the set temperature is maintained:
If the room temperature is higher than the set
temperature, the heater switches itself off.
If the room temperature is lower than the set
temperature, the heater automatically switches itself
back on again
TIMER SETTING
With this function the timer can be set from 1 to 8
hours and used with all heat settings.
By pressing the
“Timer” button (time button) you can
increase the amount of hours you wish the heater to
operate before automatically turning off.
After you have set the desired time, for example 4
hours, the LCD display indicates the amount of the
time to go (4,3,2 or 1), before switching off after the
time has elapsed.
OSCILLATION
If you press the button for Oscillation the unit will
oscillate through 90
°
.
The display shows the oscillation symbol.
If you want switch off the oscillation, press the
Oscillation button again.
REMOTE CONTROL
The remote control buttons perform the same
functions as those on the control panel of the unit.
For best results, aim the remote directly at the remote
sensor on the front panel of the heater. The remote
control requires 2x AAA batteries (not included).
