Operating your kettle
Please read these operating instructions
carefully and keep them in a safe place.
1. Place the machine on a flat surface.
2. Open the kettle by pressing the
unlocking button on the handle. Then fill in
some water. The water level can be read
using the water level indicator on the
kettle. Please do not overfill the kettle.
3. Close the lid by releasing the unlocking
button on the handle.
4. Place the kettle flush on the base.
Care and cleaning
1.
Do not attempt to dismantle the kettle
or power base. There are no user
serviceable parts. For service or
repair,
contact
an
authorised
electrician.
2.
To prolong the
kettle’s life, please
clean the mineral deposits in the
kettle regularly.
3.
Always unplug from the plug socket
and allow to cool down before
cleaning.
4.
Do not immerse the power cord,
kettle or power base in water.
5.
Do not use chemicals, steel wool, or
abrasive cleaners to clean the outside
of the kettle as these will scratch the
surface and fade the outside color.
6.
Periodical de-scaling is required. The
interval of de-scaling depends on the
hardness of water in your area and
the frequency of using the kettle.
Cleaning Method:
1.
Fill the kettle with 0.5lt of white
vinegar and the remainder with water
and allow to stand for at least one
hour.
2.
Empty the solution from the kettle.
Wipe the remaining deposits with a
damp cloth.
3.
Fill the kettle with clean water, bring
to boil and then discard the water.
Repeat at least once or until no
mineral deposits are left and the
kettle will be ready to use.
4.
Remove the scale filter. Wash with
clean water and dry thoroughly before
replacing in the kettle.
