TECHNICAL INFO AND OPTION

OPERATING CONDITIONS

Once the PH-11 has been correctly wired and posi-
tioned on a solid shelf it is ready to play.
The PH-1 has been designed for use in Hi-Fi systems
in sheltered locations. It ought therefore to be protect-
ed from any eventual variations in temperature and
humidity. Avoid to use the unit close to radiators or
other strong heat sources, electrical and electronic
motors, switched on mobile phones etc.
The location in proximity of other audio components is
not theoretically critical, but you should nevertheless
pay attention to this.
In any case, take care to unplug completely the unit
every time you need to move it, or to move the turnta-
ble on which it is installed.

PH-11 Gain & Load

The PH-11 can be set up to be used both with MM or
MC cartridges.  The input can be even finely set up with
optional plugs.
The MM  stereo  RCA input (8) features  a  48dB  gain
stage able to drive all MM cartridge of the market.
Once the MM input is selected the MM stage set up the
unit automatically at 47KΩ load that is the worldwide
standard compliance for it.

The MC stereo RCA input (9) features a 70B gain stage
able to drive substantially all the MC cartridge of the
market.
Once the MC input is selected the MC stage set up the
unit automatically at 470Ω load.

To eventually adjust the load or the capacitance or the
unit once select MM or MC it is necessary to use

optional RCA loaded plugs into the dedicated connec-
tors (4).
Ask Gold Note to get proper plug eventually.

PLEASE NOTE: The High Output MC cartridges must be
tested to find the best matching MM or MC (eventually
loaded) accordingly to the manufacturer suggestion.

PH-11 PSU 1° and PSU 2°
EXTERNAL POWER SUPPLY UNITS

The PH-11 features two external Power Supply Units
power the preamp stage with a four high current mas-
sive batteries via the professional Tyco connector (6)
and the DIN connectors present on the two PSU units
rear panels.

The recharge of the batteries starts every time the
unit is turned off via the master switch of the 1° PSU.
The Power demand of the PH-11 allows the unit
continuous play for 10/12 hours circa.

The batteries may recharge even in different times as
much as it happens one channel without creating any
problem with music listening.

If the PH-11 is left too long turned ON the unit may
need to recharge for few hours to start working again
correctly.
The complete recharging process is 8/12 hours.
