GODIN CONTRACTUAL WARRANTY
Our appliances:
-
have a 6 year warranty for full cast iron wood burners and wood burner inserts - closed wood burner fireboxes (only the heating body, not the parts
in direct contact with high temperatures and subject to wear which are listed below and have a one year warranty).
-
2 years for other appliances.
against all defects starting from their date of sale to the end user, on condition that the installation, use and maintenance conditions indicated in the manual
delivered with the appliance have been followed.
Parts in direct contact with high temperatures that may suffer distortion due to wear have a 1 year standard replacement warranty, such as:
-
decorative plates, side plates when removable, the firebox grates and floor,
-
the deflectors, chicanes, dampers, fire-dogs, ash-box,
-
refractory bricks,
-
articulated mechanisms (cooker oven door hinges, handles, etc.)
-
lifting mechanisms,
-
fans, overheating thermostats for our appliances fitted with a blower,
-
temperature control components, oven thermostats, heating elements, fan heaters for gas and electric ovens,
-
burners, catalysts, burner rings for fuel powered appliances,
-
wood-coal central appliance boilers.
Decorative elements have a 2 year warranty.
Our appliances are specially designed for the replacement of these parts as parts of your appliance’s maintenance.
Some parts have a longer warranty:
3 years for the cast iron or steel heating elements of our central heating boilers.
Our warranty is limited to the replacement of the part if our Post-sales department acknowledges it is defective. It excludes any indemnity, compensation,
labour and transport costs.
If the repair is too expensive compared to the cost of the appliance, the decision to replace or repair the appliance is exclusively made by the GODIN S.A.

The following are not covered by the warranty: THE WINDOWS ON OUR APPLIANCES
Vitro-ceramic glass can withstand thermal shocks in the order of 750°C. As possible breakage can only be caused by a mechanical impact during use,
incorrect refitting or handling, these elements cannot be replaced under the warranty.
The same applies to the seals which are considered to be wear parts and are outside the scope of the warranty.
The warranty will not be applicable if:

The damage has been caused by overheating
-
The installation is defective
-
The damage is the result of the use of the appliance with fuel other than that recommended in our manuals.

The damage to parts is caused by external factors (chimney back-draught, storms, damp, non compliant pressure or negative pressure, thermal shock,
etc.).

Anomalies, damage or accidents caused by dropping, impacts, negligence, incorrect supervision or incorrect maintenance by the purchaser.

Abnormal use of the appliance in conditions other than those for which it was built. For example, the failure to follow our technical manuals (incorrect
electric connection, operation of a boiler when empty, etc.)

All alterations, transformations or work carried out by unqualified staff or contractors, or using spare parts that are not original or not approved by
the manufacturer.
The installation, assembly, dismantling costs and the consequences of the appliance not being operational due to work under the warranty are not borne by
GODIN S.A.
As a result, GODIN S.A. cannot be held liable for material damage or personal injury resulting from an installation that is not compliant with applicable
legislation and regulations, that is not compliant with the recommendations in the appliance manual (for example, failure to connect to the earth, bad chimney
stack effect, etc.).
For the purposes of the continuous improvement of our production, we reserve the right to modify our appliances without notice. All the announced sizes and
specifications are subject to change due to technical imperatives.
If you make a claim under the warranty, you must be able to provide a copy of the invoice and the warranty card featuring the appliance references, the dealer’s
stamp, the date the appliance was commissioned. Contact your dealer if you have a complaint.

Please note that the Post-Sales service must be provided by the dealer or the installer who are in charge on site as we do not deal directly with private individuals.
Any private individuals who contact us directly will be automatically redirected to their dealer, and must contact them for all Post-Sales or sales issues.
