CHAIN ADJUSTMENT
*****The chain needs to be checked every time you ride your quad. If the tension is not correct the chain
may slip off and cause injury or damage to the quad bike. *****
To check the chain you will need to raise the rear of your quad bike and place on a stand so the rear wheels
leave the ground and can move freely. Manually rotate the wheels to drive the chain, Check the chain for
obvious wear and damage and replace with a new chain if necessary.

ADJUSTING CHAIN SAG
Loosen the six engine mounting bolts but under
the frame but do not remove them. Fig. 2
CHECKING THE CHAIN SAG
The optimum chain tension is where the chain
only moves between 10-12mm. Fig. 1 If the
chain sag is over 12mm the chain will need to
be tensioned.
