HomeLink
®
Universal
Transmitter
This programmable transmitter can store
three frequencies for items such as a
garage door opener, entry door lock or
security system. With the ignition OFF,
program the transmitter as follows:
• Press and hold the two outside but-
tons and release when the indicator
light begins to flash (about 20 sec-
onds; do not repeat this step when
programming second and third trans-
mitter buttons).
• Hold the end of your hand-held trans-
mitter up to three inches away from
the surface of the universal transmit-
ter and simultaneously hold down
the transmitter button and the button
on the HomeLink
®
unit you wish to
program.
• The HomeLink
®
indicator light will
begin blinking slowly. Programming is
complete when the red light on the
HomeLink
®
transmitter flashes rapidly.
• Release both buttons.
• Press and hold the newly pro-
grammed HomeLink
®
button. If the
light stays on constantly, program-
ming is complete and should operate
your device when pressed and
released.
For garage door openers with a “rolling
code,” continue with the following steps:
• Firmly press the training button (usu-
ally marked “LEARN” or “SMART”) on
the garage door opener motor head
unit near the antenna.
• Within 30 seconds, press and hold
the HomeLink
®
transmitter button pro-
grammed in the previous steps for
two seconds.
• Press and release this button twice
more for two seconds each time.
See Section 2 of your Owner Manual.
Note:
To ensure successful HomeLink
®
Transmitter programming, it’s important
that your garage door opener battery be
well charged.
Sun Visors
• To help block the sun’s glare, rotate
the sun visor down.
• You can block the driver or passenger
front-side window glare by turning the
sun visor to the side window.
• The sun visor can be extended by
sliding it along the attachment bar to
provide improved shielding on the
side windows.
See Section 2 of your Owner Manual.
