12.1 Basic User Issues and Solutions
Cannot Make Voice or Fax Calls (FleetBroadband & GlobeMobile)
1.
Check the FleetBroadband handset to determine if the terminal has sufficient signal strength
Change ocean region if necessary
2.
Does the telephone LED on the FleetBroadband terminal display as
ORANGE
?
A call is in progress. Wait until the telephone LED displays
GREEN
.
Note:
A maximum of two simultaneous calls can be handled by the
Globe

system.
GCC Cannot Make Data IP Calls / GlobeMobile SMS Messages Not Transferring
1.
Is the globe icon on the terminal showing
RED
? It is likely that the data connection has stopped
on the FleetBroadband terminals.
The terminals are configured to automatically connect to data services. Occasionally, it may be
necessary to make a data connection on the FleetBroadband terminal. Please note that it does
not need to be deactivated after usage.
2.
Does the telephone LED on the FleetBroadband terminal display as
ORANGE
?
A call is in progress. Wait until the telephone LED displays
GREEN
.
From handset press
MENU > DATA > STATUS > ACTIVATE PRIMARY
The globe LED on the terminal should now display as
GREEN
.
