Forklift Mount Drum Grab

SAFETY
WARNING:
Drum grab is designed for special use. Verify following
items for operation safety:
1. Do not exceed maximum rated capacity of
1000 lbs. / 454 kg. Do not overload unit as this
may cause personal injury or property damage.
2. Follow all local codes for drum use and storage.
3. Inspect drum grab prior to each use. If damage
or distortion exists, unit must be removed from
service until repair or replacement is completed.
4. Confirm forklift capacity accommodates
drum grab.
5. Ensure drum cover is secure prior to handling.
6. Do not sit or stand on drum grab.
7. Do not leave drum unattended in raised position.
8. Do not leave drum in raised position for extended
periods of time.
9. Do not use unit for other than its intended use.
10. Keep all extremities including hands and feet away
from unit during operation.
11. Use caution when lifting fiber or plastic drums.
Verify materials withstand drum lifting stress.
12. Do not modify or alter this unit.
13. Do not remove or obscure warning labels.
14. Transport drum in lowered position.
15. Use caution when transporting over
uneven surfaces.
MAINTENANCE
Lubricate moving parts regularly.
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Lay drum grab on even surface. Verify screw downs
are unscrewed allowing forks to enter pockets.
Adjust forks to accommodate drum grab pockets.
Do not use fork extensions.
2. Tighten screw downs to prevent drum grab slippage.
Check screw downs regularly for stability.
3. Attach safety chain from drum grab to forklift.
4. Using forklift, move grab towards drum top brim.
Drum grab will secure drum as forklift rises, allowing
for transport. During transport, forks should remain
in lowest position available.
5. Drum grab will automatically separate from drum
once lowered to floor.
