FIXING DETECTOR TO THE WALL
Protect against water during installation.
Using the template provided drill the wall to accept the
fixing screws and the tamper cup if used.
OUTPUTS
The D-TECT Universal Dual Tech has three negative
switching outputs:
A = Alarm
T = Tamper
B = Low battery
The outputs can be configured to be negative applied
or negative removed when active using switch 3, details
below.
ALIGN AND WALK TEST
Align the detector to cover the required detection area
using the pan and tilt adjustment.
Walk test is enabled for the first 5 minutes after the
batteries are inserted. Allow 2 – 3 minutes for the detector
to settle. During walk test the LED is enabled and the sleep
timer is fixed at 8 seconds.
Always walk test with the cover fitted.
Note: The PIR sensor is more sensitive to movement
across the beams. The microwave is more sensitive to
movement directly towards or away from the beams.
SWITCH SETTINGS
Switch 1 Pulse Count OFF=1 ON=2
Switch 2 Sensitivity OFF=Low ON=High
Switch 3 Output logic OFF=Applied when active
ON=Removed when active
BATTERIES
Only use CR123 3 V Lithium batteries.
Observe correct polarity when fitting.
