light output. Rheostat does not turn the 

instrument completely off. Fixing the handle to 

the cradle will turn the instrument completely off. 

An optical sensor mounted in the handle cradle 

turns the instrument head ON and off 

automatically. When the unit is not in use for 

more than few hours, turn power switch to 

0 position to ensure longer operating life.

Note

The Otoscope and Ophthalmoscope is intended 

for short term treatment ≤ 1 minute with a break 

of 10 minutes between applications. 

The maximum temperature at the application 

point at an ambient temperature of 40°C and in 

continuous operation is 48°C.

Use and Maintenance

Before removing the diagnostic unit, make 

sure that switch is off.

Any unauthorized modification/service

may cause short circuit that may damage 

the unit, so always contact the authorized 

person or send the unit back to the 

manufacturer for repair.

Switch Off the Unit Completely before 

changing the lamp.

Changing the Lamp in Otoscope Head

With the VISIO 2000 F.O. Otoscope, first unlock 

the head from the handle and pull the lamp (D) 

downwards as in Fig. 2. Push in the new lamp.
