The baby measure meter GIMA is a precision device for measuring the height of infants in centimeters
and assess the growth curve. The baby measure meter is intended for use in pediatric clinics,
hospitals for children or for home visits by pediatricians. On the upper fixing bracket are present holes
for hanging the mat to the wall when not in use. The mat can measure up to a maximum of 1 meter,
with an accuracy of + / -2 millimeter.
USE
How to make a measurement
1. Place the baby lying on the graduated mat after placing stops in ABS correctly at 90 ° vertical to the
scale. The baby’s head must be resting on stop in ABS holding firmly with the left hand the infant.
2. With the right hand approach to baby’s feet the stop placed at the end of the graduated scale.

INTERPRETATION
Measure the height of the baby is useful to determine the proper growth curve by calculating
percentiles, in combination with the weight. The “weight and height” of infants can be compared with
reference curves called Tanner-Whitehouse. These curves identify the lines (percentiles) that define
the range considered normal and acceptable according to age.
