tab, then from
Microphone

Speakers
drop down menu, select
USB Audio Device
.

Troubleshooting
For Windows 2000, if the called party cannot hear you or only
hears static when you are talking on Skype, make sure the
microphone is working properly on your computer:
1.
Go to
Start
>
Settings
>
Control Panel
>
Sounds and
Multimedia
.

Choose the
Audio
Tab.
3.
Locate the
Volume
section of
Sound recording
.
4.
If the Microphone control does not show, click on
Option
>
Properties
, select
Recording
, and check
Microphone
in
Show the following volume controls
.
Click
OK
.
5.
Activate
Microphone
and adjust the volume, then close
the window.
6.
Click
OK
when finished.
7.
Next, open
Skype
and go to
Tools
>
Options
.
8.
Choose the
Audio Settings
Tab in the
General
menu.
9.
Deactivate “
Let Skype adjust my audio settings
” under
the
Microphone
section.
