Adjusting the telephone
Setting the handset volume
The volume can be set to three levels.
During a call

Adjust the volume
with the loud/quiet
key.
In idle mode

Lift the handset, press
the set key, press the
number 9 key.

Mute
Depending on the setting of the
mute function (
page 9), you can
deactivate the telephone's micro-
phone and/or earpiece during a call.

Press the mute key to
deactivate or reacti-
vate the microphone.
In mute mode a melody can be
played.
Setting the ringer
You can set the ringer melody and
volume or turn the ringer off.

Note:
The length of the playable ring tone
depends on the duration of the sig-
nal voltage in your telephone net-
work. This can differ depending on
the country and the telephone net-
work. If the ringer melody you
choose is shortened or truncated,
please choose a different one if nec-
essary.
Setting the keylock
The telephone can be locked. This
means that all keys are locked except
for the key sequence that deacti-
vates the lock and the emergency
numbers (
