Activating/deactivating
advisory tones
Your handset uses ‘advisory tones’ to tell
you about different activities and statuses.
The following advisory tones can be acti-
vated and deactivated independently of
each other:

Key beep
: Each key press is acknowl-
edged.

Acknowledge tones
:

Confirmation beep
(a rising tone
sequence): at the end of the entry/
setting, when the handset is placed
in the charging cradle and when a
new entry arrives on the calls list.

Error beep
(descending tone
sequence): when you make an
incorrect entry.
–
Menu end tone
: when scrolling at
the end of a menu.

Battery low beep
: the battery needs to
be charged.
