phone to a PABX
The following settings are only necessary if
your PABX requires them; see the PABX user
guide.
Saving an access code
(outside line code)
Prerequisite:
You may have to enter an
access code in front of the number for exter-
nal calls in your PABX e.g., "0".

You can enter data in the following fields:
Access external line with:
Enter or change access code, max. 4 dig-
its.
For:
Calls List
The access code will prefix the numbers
dialled on the desktop phone or a hand-
set from the SMS list, a call list or an
answering machine list.
All Calls
The access code prefixes all numbers
dialled on the desktop phone or a hand-
set.
Off
The access code is deactivated. It does
not prefix any phone number.

Press the display key.
The access code never prefixes numbers
selected from the directory, emergency/
quick dial numbers, SMS service centre num-
bers and manually dialled numbers.
Transferring a call –
ECT (Explicit Call Transfer)
With some ISDN PABX systems, your two par-
ticipants are not connected when you
replace the receiver during call transfer
. In this case, you need to activate
this function
. To do so, please
refer to the operating instructions of your
PABX.
Using Centrex
If your desktop phone is part of a Centrex
system, you can use the following features.
Calling Name Identification (CNI)
When you receive incoming calls from other
Centrex subscribers, the caller's number and
name are shown on the display.
Message Waiting Indication (MWI)
New calls in the call list are indicated using
icons
. The

flashes.
Please note:

You cannot send or receive SMS mes-
sages on PABXs that do not support Call-
ing Line Identification.
