4-2-2 Block Decription
QSFP28
Industry-standard Ethernet cage, designed to accept both copper and
optical cables.
Fuji
Western Digital Networks’ “Fuji” NVMe-oF Bridge ASIC.
Flash
This SPI flash device contains the firmware (FW) that Fuji requires to
run.
EEPROM
The EEPROM on the Onyx board contains many board- and model-
specific data, plus configuration parameters.
Clocks
System and I/O clock inputs to Fuji.
UART
This microUSB port enables users to monitor Fuji’s console port.
LED
Onyx has 4 LEDs which enable the user to easy detect the general state
of Fuji.
TEST
The upper right side of Onyx contains two “edge finger” connectors.
There are for internal Western Digital testing only. No user-accessible
information is present on these connectors.
