9.1.1 STANDARD BALANCE FUNCTION
When not operating as piece counting or percentage balances the keys act in normal mode.
The key MODE (activated for less than 1 second) switches between gram and the second unit.
If a measuring unit different from gram (main operating unit) is selected, the number of decimal places is
changed and the resolution of the balance (total number of divisions) is reduced, so that the last digit always
exhibits a 1-count increment.
When a second unit is selected the balance automatically stores the information so that, even if the power is
removed, the selection is retained and, when the balance is switched on, the selected unit will be active.
9.1.2 PIECE COUNTING FUNCTION
The function is selected as above with the menu item PCS.
Press the key mode more than one second.
Display will show 5 PCS blinking: 5 PCS is the first sample number for acquisition.
If another sample is desired, than press the key mode repeatedly.
The display will show 10 PCS, 20 PCS, 50 PCS and finally 100 PCS.
Then, the PCS menu rolls over and 5 PCS message is shown again.
When the reference sample is on the pan and the stability signal light is on, push the ON-OFF key to confirm
sample acquisition.
Automatically the new reference value is acquired and balance starts to display the piece count.
