7 Maintenance

Always disconnect the fan from the mains before removing the cover.

To ensure the device‘s long-term functioning and to maintain the warranty, we recommend
cleaning the fan once a year. Accumulations of dirt on the fan wheel and the inside of the fan will
cause the motor to overheat.
The iris diaphragm may be cleaned with a damp cloth. Never use abrasive cleaners. The inner
components, e.g. the fan wheel, should be cleaned with a soft brush.

Make sure that the fan has been disconnected from the mains before inserting a

brush into the fan wheel channel.

Never try and clean the fan itself through immersing it in water or putting it in the dishwasher. The
only things you can put in the dishwasher are the blades of the iris diaphragm.

8 Disposal

Due to little or no harmful materials being used in their production, the majority of components
described in these operating instructions can be recycled. Should you want to dispose of your
ventilation unit, please do so in accordance with current national regulations. Contact your local
authority for more information. Packaging material should be sorted before disposal.
