6.5 Temperature correction
All monitoring instrumentation is influenced by temperature. Whilst instruments and
sensors can be calibrated in a laboratory environment it is advisable that site
characterisation is carried out to allow any temperature compensation to be made.
It is recommended that a control cell or cells, depending on the size of the project
are installed in a non stressed environment so that the effects of temperature can be
monitored and the site specific compensation carried out on the data from the in

cells.
