TROUBLESHOOTING
The GEONAV does not turn on
Make sure the unit is powered with a supply voltage between 11 and 18
VDC. Check the polarity of the power supply.
The GEONAV does not get any valid satellite fix
Make sure that no metal obstacle is positioned around the unit acting
as a shield for the GEONAV antenna. If, after 15 minutes, the GEONAV
has not got any valid fix yet, turn the unit off and on again.
The GEONAV does not turn off
If, after pressing
ON/OFF
for at least 3 seconds, the unit does not turn off,
remove the GEONAV from its bracket or turn the power off.
The GEONAV screen gets dark after a long exposure to direct sunlight
Press
PAGE
to display the menu bar, select CONTRAST and then adjust
the contrast by pressing
CURSOR
.
The GEONAV does not respond to any command
Turn the unit off, then on again; if the problem persists, erase memory
by turning the unit on while keeping
CLR
and
ON
simultaneously pressed.
This operation will delete all the data (markers, route, tracks, etc.) previ-
ously saved in memory.

END OF TRIP
The boat has reached the last waypoint in the route.
SEARCHING SATELLITES
or
POOR GPS COVERAGE
The GEONAV does not receive any valid fix from the GPS. The boat’s
position is not available.
INVALID FIX
The GPS is not tracking a sufficient number of satellites for computing
the boat’s position.
NO WP PRESENT
The target waypoint cannot be changed since no waypoint is present.
WP ALREADY PRESENT
Two waypoints cannot be assigned the same position.
PROXIMITY TO WAYPOINT
The boat will reach the next waypoint in 25 seconds.
WAYPOINT OVERSHOT
The boat has overtaken the waypoint.
NO MORE WP AVAILABLE
All the available waypoints have been used.
NO MORE MRK AVAILABLE
All the available markers have been used.
MRK ALREADY PRESENT
Two markers cannot be assigned the same position/name.
