Place the anode and saddle on the fish
such that the brass screw is inserted into
the right-hand hole of the fish. Place
the second brass screw through the left-
hand hole to help align the anode to the
fish. Take the brass nut and slide it
down inside the fish until it is aligned
over the end of the right-hand screw.
Using a screw driver turn the screw
until it engages the nut. Continue
turning the screw until you fingers can
no longer stop the nut from spinning as
you turn the screw driver. Then using a
7/16" open end wrench, hold the nut
and finish tightening the screw.
Remove the left hand screw.
Push the tow cable and ground wire into the cavity in the fish and then insert the nose. Wile
inserting the nose align the holes in the nose with the holes in the fish. Place the second one inch
brass screw through the anode until it engages the hole in the nose and tighten with a screw
driver until it is finger-tight, then ¼ to ½ turn more. Place two ¾" brass screws, one each in the
other two holes and tighten as above. Finally, using a pair of pliers, make certain that the legs of
the cotter pin are spread sufficiently to insure that the cotter pin is held securely.
