Pure F 500/ F 501 needs to be connected to an optical broadband ne t work.
Ge t ting sta r ted
Check if the following items are in
the gi
f tbox:
• Genexis Pure F 500/ F 501
• Power adapter
• Ve
r tical stand
• Strain relief
• Labels (self-adhesive,
2 x)
• Rubber feet (self-adhesive, 4 x)
• Plugs & screws ( 2 x)
Connecting the f iber
1 . Slide the lid of the housing by sliding it
towards the po r tside.
2 . A t tach strain relief to the f iber, 58 mm
from the connector.
3 . Remove the dust cap from the pi g tail and
the connector, do not touch the f iber tip.
4 . Connect the pi g tail to the f iber inte r face.
5 . Place strain relief in the plastic notch in
the housing at the highlighted area.
6 . Slide the lid back in original position on
the housing.
Warning:
do not pinch the f iber while
sliding the lid back in position.

Strain relief

Placement
Pure suppo r ts t wo placement options;
standing and mounted to a wall. It is
recommended to place the device ‘away’
from obstacles and objects.
Standing
1 . A t tach the four rubber feet to the
bo t tomside of the ve r tical stand.
2 . Slide the ve r tical stand onto the bo t tom
of the Pure F 500/ F 501 .
3 . Place the device on a f lat su r face.
Wall mount
1 . Download and print the drilling guide from
h t tps: // genexis.eu / download-po r tal /# pure
2 . Use the drilling guide to drill the holes,
inse r t plugs and put screws into place.
3 . Use the wall mount points on the back
of the Pure F 500/ F 501 to mount the
device to the screws.
Warning: do not cover the device with
anything, this will inte r fere with the
ventilation of the Pure.
Operation Temperature 0 °C ~ 40 °C
Se t ting up the Pure
1 . Plug the DC adapter into an electrical
socket and connect it to power po r t at the
back of the Pure F 500/ F 501 .
2 . Press the power bu t ton at the back of the
Pure F 500/ F 501 to turn on the device.
3 . The colored LEDs on the Pure F 500/ F 501
panel will sta r t blinking. This process takes
about 2 minutes.
4 . If the device is connected properly and
the se r vice is active on the f iber po r t, the
Status, Uplink and Internet LEDs will have
a
f ixed green color.
Connecting the Wireless Local Area
Ne
t work (WLAN)
Pure suppo r ts t wo ways to create a wireless
connection with your personal devices; via
WPS or manually. For personal devices that
suppo
r t WPS, this will be the easiest method.
WPS
1 . Make sure the WiFi indicator LED on the
front panel is lit. If not, press the Mode
bu
t ton for 10 seconds until it gets lit.
2 . Press and hold the Mode bu t ton for 3
seconds. The WiFi indicator LED will
sta
r t f lashing.
3 . Follow the instructions of your personal
device to complete the connection process.
