The paddle shifter is used to adjust
the regenerative braking level from 0
to 3 during decelerating or braking.
• Left side (

): Increases
regenerative braking and
deceleration.
• Right side (
+
_
): Decreases
regenerative braking and
deceleration.
• Pull and hold the left side paddle
shifter for more than 0.5 seconds
and One pedal driving function is
operated, increasing the
regenerative braking. In this case,
stopping the vehicle is possible by
keep on pulling the paddle shifter.

NOTE:
There is an available “Smart Automatic Regeneration” mode that
will automatically adjust regenerative breaking to slow the vehicle down
as it approaches traffic. Refer to the owners manual for more detailed
information.

Reduction Gear Operation
Crystal sphere is a shift lever that can be shifted to
shift dial mode only while the (READY) indicator
light is on in the instrument cluster. If the vehicle is
not in a drivable state, maintain the crystal sphere.
Depress the brake pedal whenever rotating the
shift dial to change gear or selecting P.
To shift the gear to P (Park), press the P button while depressing the
brake pedal.
If you turn the vehicle off in R (Reverse), N (Neutral) or D (Drive), the gear
will automatically shift to P (Park).
The paddle shifter does not operate.
• When the two paddle shifters are pulled at the same time.
• When the Cruise Control system or Advanced Cruise Control system is
activated.
If level 0 is selected for the regenerative braking system, the brake disc
cleaning function is operated.
Q.
What are the advantages of regenerative braking?
A.
Regenerative braking is a technology in which the electric motor
connects to the generator to charge the battery during deceleration
and braking. Using regenerative braking reduces energy loss and
extends the drivable range, resulting in increased fuel efficiency. It is
good to use regenerative braking in urban areas where braking is
frequent.
