Micro Centrifuge
Means to use for volume up to 2.2ml micro-tubes of DNA
precipitations and purifications.
Micro Haematocrit Centrifuge
Designed for use of 24 places of 1.2mm (or 1.5mm) x 75mm (Dep.)
capillary tubes for HCT test, which defines the percentage of Red
Blood Cells against the whole body reflecting the status of Red
blood Cells. The normal value of HCT for male is 40 – 54% and
38 – 47% for female.
Universal Centrifuge
Accommodated with different sizes and types of Rotors for the
appropriate tests.
g Force
The measurement for samples undergoing the stress of
acceleration in a centrifuge.
RCF
(

(
Relative Centrifugal Force
)
)
)
)
RCF is the centrifugal force that the samples undergoes which
relies on the speed of rotation
(
N
)
in rpm and the rotating radius
(
R
)
. The rotating radius is measured from the center axis of
rotor to the extreme end of the centrifuge tubes.
Formula
:
:
:
:
RCF = 11.18 x r x ( N / 1000)²
Swing-out Rotors
:
:
:
:
Ideal for cell culturing applications because sediment forms on the
bottom of the tubes.
Fixed-Angle Rotors
:
:
:
:
Ideal for pelleting applications because sediment collects
diagonally in the tube. Higher rotational speeds and higher
g-forces are achieved using fixed-angle rotors.
Round bottom Tubes
:
:
:
:
Have a uniform wall thickness and provides a better fit in a rotor
than conical bottom tubes. Round tubes withstand higher g-forces.
Conical bottom Tubes
:
:
:
:
Ideal for cell culturing and ammonium sulfate precipitations.
