The display shows the main screen of the function. Press the
CURSOR button DOWN to select the MP3 folder

Copy MP3 files or MIDIFILES using the COLLECT function
The COLLECT function is similar to the multicopy. The multicopy is specially designed to works with GEM song format, whereas
the COLLECT is the function to copy other file formats like MP3 and MIDIFILES (
for further information about this topic please
refer to the part of this manual explaing the audio and MIDI formats compatible with Genesys xp ).
Insert the GEM music reference CD in the CD driver.

Press the DISK button on the panel

Select the CD as source driver by pressing the function button C.
The following screen appears.

Press the F8 COLLECT button to enter the function.

Select, using the UP/DOWN CURSOR, the MP3 folder. Once,
the folder is selected the COLLECT function is enabled.

The subfolder LYRICS appears. Press the CURSOR RIGHT
twice to select the MP3 files contained in the folder.

After some second the contents of the folder appears. Press
the function button F1 ADD to add files to the copy list.

Once the copy list is completed, press F4 EXECUTE to start
the copy procedure.

The destination folder appears in the screen

The Genesys hard disk already has a MP3 main folder,
plus a subfolder called DEMO (where the instrument
demos are located). At this point you create in the hard
disk MP3 main folder a further subfolder where we store
the MP3 we need for our performances.
