INSTALLING SHREDDER
The centre of gravity is located in the top part of the device. Make sure to position the file shredder on an
even surface to prevent it from toppling over.
Never operate the device near sources of heat or cold, or in an overheated, moist or dusty environment.
Place the device close to a wall socket and ensure easy access to the wall socket, in case the device needs to
be deactivated.
First insert the inner container (for CDs/DVDs) into the paper bin.
Make sure that the waste paper container is pushed all the way into the device.
Insert the plug in a 230V/50Hz socket and activate the main switch ON/OFF on the backside of the device. The
green lamp and the blue lamp will light up.
As long as there is no paper in the paper feed, the shredder will always be off. Using the buttons on the cont-
rol panel will not lead to activating the device. This way, possible injuries are prevented.
When inserting paper in the feed slot, the device will turn on automatically.
After every shredding, the machine will stay on in stand-by mode for 5 seconds. Afterwards, the shredder
will automatically turn off and will use hardly any electricity.
In case of a paper jam, the paper feed will automatically empty itself. If it should still be necessary to remove
fed in paper, you can do so by pushing the buttons REV and FWD.
