CONNECTING AND OPERATING THE AUTO VOLUME STABILIZER

How to Connect the GefenTV Auto Volume Stabilizer

1.

Connect the desired audio sources to the Audio Input section of the GefenTV Auto Volume Stabilizer
using the appropriate audio cables (e.g. Optical, Coax, or L/R analog audio).

2.

Connect another set of audio cables (e.g. Optical, Coax, or L/R analog audio) from the Audio Output
section of the GefenTV Auto Volume Stabilizer to the A/V equipment (e.g. display)

3.

Connect the included 5V DC power adapter to the power receptacle on the rear of GefenTV Auto
Volume Stabilizer.  The LED next to the BYPASS button will turn red.  This indicates that the unit is
in Standby Mode.

4.

To turn the unit ON, press the BYPASS button.  The LED next to the BYPASS button should now
turn off. The LED input indicator will now turn blue, indicating that the unit has been turned on. This
can also be accomplished by using STANDBY button on the IR remote.

5.

Select the desired input source (e.g. Optical, Coax, or L/R) by pressing the INPUT SELECT button
on the back of the unit.  The SELECT button on the I/R remote may also be used to select the input.

6.

When the LED next to the BYPASS button is red, the unit is in Bypass Mode.  This means that
Dolby Volume™ processing is disabled.  This is recommended for movies or listening to music
where there is a wide dynamic range.  The BYPASS button is used to toggle between Bypass Mode
(LED on) and Dolby Volume™ processing mode (LED off).  The BYPASS button on the I/R remote
can also be used to toggle between these two modes.

7.

In order to place the GefenTV Auto Volume Stabilizer in Standby Mode, press and hold the BYPASS
button on the front panel.  Pressing the STANDBY button on the I/R remote can also be used to set
the unit into Standby Mode.  The BYPASS button LED will be red when the unit is in Standby Mode.

NOTE:

All outputs are live regardless of the selected input.
