Chapter 4: Installation
11. Connect an inlet tubing section (provided in Kit) from the bulkhead to the fitting on the top of the sipper
tube.
12. Repeat steps
for each stream.
13. If you are also installing the fail safe option, cut and remove the tie wrap used to secure the sensor to
the Analyzer during shipping.
14. Remove the U-bolt from the sensor and position the U-bolt over and near the end of the pipe with the
sipper tube.

15. Insert the ends of the U-bolt through the holes on the sensor, and then attach and secure a washer and
nut finger-tight. (Do NOT use an additional tool to tighten, as this may break the sensor.)
16. If you have the fail-safe option, repeat the steps
through
17. Connect the pipe nearest the instrument (the pipe without the internal sipper tube) to the sample
source. (See
Figure 27: Overflow Method — Installation on page 97.
18. Connect the pipe farthest from the instrument (the pipe without the internal sipper tube) to the waste
outlet.

Installing the Check Standard System
The Analyzer can automatically measure a check standard periodically when it is operating in the Online mode.
Check standard measurements also can be manually initiated when desired.
Access one of the 1/8-in. OD tubes in the Analyzer’s accessories. Attach the 1/4-28 PEEK fitting in the Check
Standard port on the left side of the Analyzer. The fitting should be finger-tight.
