Figure 43: Operation with Five Streams and the Check Standard
Calculated Run Time
It is important to know the
Run Time
of the selected measurements. The
Run Time
is the time required to
measure all of the enabled streams and the check standard.
Run Time
is a function of:
•
The number of streams that will be measured
•
Whether or not the check standard is measured
•
The number of repetitions that are selected for each stream and the check standard
•
The number of Dilution Water and Sample Flushes selected
•
The type of measurement selected (NPOC, TOC, and so on)
•
Whether or not AutoRange is selected
In the example shown in
Run Time
is 1.5 hours. As the graph indicates, the
Run Time
must be less
than the
Cycle Frequency
. If you select an incorrect
Cycle Frequency
that is less than the
Run Time
, the
Analyzer will automatically display a notification message and will not start analysis.
To aid in the setup process, the Analyzer calculates the
Run Time
for the current Online configuration. On the
Configure Online
screen, press the
Calc Run Time
button. A
Total RunTime
message appears with the calculated
run time (such as 0.83 hours) of the current protocol (see Figure 31). The message also prompts you with an
opportunity to set the
Cycle Frequency
. Press
Yes
if you want to increase the
Cycle Frequency
. If the
