Note:
If the grommet must be replaced, replace
it at this point. Access to the back of the unit is
required to replace the grommet.
• Assemble fill tube with heater and grounding
plate into grommet. Make sure the tube is
pushed completely into the grommet.
• Assemble grounding clip to grounding plate.
• Reconnect heater to wire harness, using
connector adapter if needed.
• Assemble metal cover over fill tube and
heater. Be careful not to damage heater. For
Bottom-Freezer models only, use new fill tube
cover with larger hole.
• Slide black, corrugated, plastic sleeve over the
foil heater and fasten with two wire ties. The
sleeve must completely cover the heater
section outside the metal cover. Trim wire
ties. See Figure 2.
• Finish assembling other components.
• Cycle icemaker and discard water to remove
grommet material particles that may have
been scraped off during assembly.
