Programming User
Functions
User functions enable operators to program up to four desired
equations on each channel, or to use any measured parameter to
calculate a different parameter. PanaView allows users to program or
change user functions and related tables through the PC.
To program a user function:
1.
From the “ New Meter Browser” option, click on the desired
communications port, meter, and channel.
2.
Click on “ User Functions ,” and then double-click on the desired
function (1 to 4). The right side of the screen will appear similar to
Figure 4-7 below.
3.
Enter three parameters in the designated text boxes:
•
a function label (of no more than 16 characters)
•
a function symbol (no more than 4 characters)
•
the number of decimal places desired.
4.
To incorporate an existing parameter, pull down the network tree
and click on the desired channel, sensor and display unit.
