Synchronize the accelerometer
Click the light green Synchronize accelerometer button ( Figure 46 on page 61) to
configure the accelerometer to the correct communication speed. A dialog box will indicate
that the accelerometer is being synchronized.
Calibration
Calibrate the accelerometer before installation on the bus. The X, Y, and Z axes of the
accelerometer are calibrated to the force of gravity to both a maximum and minimum. To
calibrate the accelerometer, do the following:
1. Click the Calibrate Accelerometer button on your MV4 monitor ( Figure 47 ).

2. Rotate the accelerometer on each axis to comply with calibration instructions. When
it reaches max/min ( Figure 48 on page 62), click OK .
