2. Remove the two screws from the rear of the
control panel housing.
3. Remove the screw from the front center of the
control panel housing.
4. Lower the control panel housing, disconnect
the electrical connector, and remove the
housing.
Hotpoint Models
GE Models
5. Remove the baffle.
Note:
There is no ADJUST FREEZER control
included on the Hotpoint model. Freezer air flow is
fixed by the position of the baffle plate. If the
freezer air should need to be adjusted on Hotpoint
models, perform steps 12 through 14.
6. Press back the rear retaining clip and lift up
the shaft.
7. Pull the shaft end from the shaft retaining
hole.
8. Press back the forward retaining clip and lift
up the control rod shaft.
9. Remove the control rod shaft and knob.
10. Remove the thermostat retaining block.
