Chapter 4: DVD Menu System
Digital Output
If you connected your DVD player to a compatible Dolby Digital receiver via the
DIGITAL AUDIO OUT jack on the back of the player, you’ll need to turn on the Digital
Output feature via this menu.
1. With the player on (no disc playing), press STOP (the main menu appears).
2. Use the up/down arrow buttons to highlight Sound. Press OK.
3. Use the down arrow button to highlight Digital Output. Press OK. (the options
appear)
4. To turn on the Digital Output setting, press the down arrow button to highlight
On.
5. Press OK.
6. To return to the main menu, press the left arrow button until the main menu
appears on the screen.
Virtual Surround
The Virtual Surround® feature simulates a six-speaker listening experience through just
two speakers. There are no adjustments for the Virtual Surround® feature — you turn it
on or off. The default setting is Off. To turn the Virtual Surround® feature on:
1. From the Main Menu, (player on, no disc playing), press the down arrow button
on the remote to highlight Sound and press OK (the Sound options appear).
2. Press the down arrow button to highlight Virtual Surround.
3. To turn it on, press the OK button (On appears next to the Virtual Surround
menu). Press OK again to turn Virtual Surround off.
4. To return to the main menu, press the left arrow button until the main menu
appears on the screen.
